John Thompson is a 3D modeler. Throughout the comprehensive DAC program he has chosen specialize in the creation and texturing of virtual assets. Set creation and architecture are John Thompson's main focus when 3D modeling. Throughout the Pirate Cruncher film, John Thompson has cultivated his interests further by focusing on set, asset, and texture creation while developing and using his new skills to bring the unique models from the novel to life.
With the 3d modeling experience and communication skills gained through this production, John hopes to further achieve his goals in a professional environment and continue to create models for either movies or videogames. Growing up, John has always expressed an interest in working for Pixar, and upon graduation will be one step closer to this lifelong goal. John thanks UC Denver and the DAC for this wonderful opportunity.
