The Digital Design emphasis integrates aesthetic, creative, and critical thought with expertise in advanced electronic media.
Configured as an interdisciplinary arts and design laboratory, Digital Design offers a hands-on education combining new art technologies and design concepts within a concentrated theoretical framework that promotes an understanding of the cultural impact and uses of digital technologies. Through this interdisciplinary approach, combining arts and communication, the Digital Design emphasis strives to produce artists and designers who will use technology in innovative ways both in commercial and artistic spheres.
Digital Design is a studio based program that focuses on screen based mediums such as motion graphics, web, interactive design, user experience and design research. As part of the Digital Design emphasis students learn in state-of-the-art labs using current versions of all the major software used in design and video.
